Description:

Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Associate Medical Director shall be a physician licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida. The Associate Medical Director has responsibility for medical direction of the hospice patient’s care and treatment, and consults and cooperates with the patient’s attending physician. The Associate Medical Director also educates community physicians and others engaged in healthcare services regarding the hospice program and its potential benefits to patients.
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school with a current Florida license. Hospice and Palliative Medicine Certification by the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine is desirable within 24 months of hire (if not already certified). Experience with oncology, home health or hospice care delivery is desirable.
